To provide a cost-effective solution to the companies for Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Recycling. Join us to improve children's future, animals' life, and our planet!

What is EPS/PS foam?

Polystyrene is a versatile plastic used to make a wide variety of consumer products. As a hard, solid and film polystyrene, it is often used in products that require clarity, such as rigid foodservice containers, CD cases, appliance housings, envelope windows and many other products. Polystyrene is also made into a foam material which is valued for its insulating and cushioning properties.

What is foam?

In general, There are two kinds of foams: 1. Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Styrofoam is a lightweight, rigid, and versatile material widely used across various industries for packaging, insulation, and construction. 2. Expanded Polyethylene (EPE) foam is a highly versatile, lightweight, and durable material widely used in packaging, cushioning, and insulation applications. Difference between EPS and EPE foam: EPS is rigid and better for structural or insulating purposes where shape retention is critical. EPE is flexible and better for protective and cushioning applications due to its softness and resilience.

White Styrofoam is now prohibited from discarding into commercial garbage bins in Metro Vancouver

Metro Vancouver’s Styrofoam ban will include an expensive fee if white Styrofoam is found in a load of garbage taken to a Vancouver area garbage facility (such as Transfer Stations and the Vancouver Landfill). The purpose of the Styrofoam ban is to encourage white Styrofoam recycling, prevent negative environmental impacts, and prevent the material from taking up large amounts of space in landfills. You can distinguish white Styrofoam from other types of foam as it can break into small bead-like pieces and may have the #6 labeled onto it. The word “white Styrofoam” is also used to refer to Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) or Polystyrene (PS) Foam.

Our Advantages

Our facility is equipped to handle large volumes of EPS efficiently, making us the ideal partner for manufacturers, distributors, and commercial clients with significant waste output.

Drop-off Guidelines

EPS Foam (Expanded Polystyrene)

  • Commonly found in packaging, insulation panels, and protective shipping blocks.

EPE Foam (Expanded Polyethylene)

  • Used in cushioning, pipe insulation, and protective packaging.

Materials must be:

Materials must be:

  • No food waste, labels, tape, glue, or dirt.

  • Please separate white foam from colored foam.

  • We cannot accept wet or waterlogged materials.

  • Only pure EPS or EPE foam is accepted—no foam blends or other plastic types.

-Otherwise, it will contaminate the recycling process-

⚠️ We do not accept:

  • Food-stained foam
  • Urethane foam or memory foam
  • Foam with excessive labeling or film wrap
  • EPP Foam

To help identify the foam type, look for the plastic recycling code on the back or underside of the foam item:

  • #6 – PS (Polystyrene): Acceptable (EPS)
  • #4 – PE (Polyethylene): Acceptable (EPE)

If you see a different number or no code at all, please contact us before bringing it in
